Olivia Lewis is a journalism and international studies major at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. At her very core, she is a vibrant, bold and spirited individual bent on discovering and informing others of the world around her. In the past, she’s worked as a lifestyle managing editor and section editor for Lakota East High School’s Spark News Magazine, an NSPA National Hall of Fame publication under which she won a variety of national/state awards for her work, which can be found here. She’s also worked as a staff writer for two of Miami University’s most prominent student-run publications, including The Miami Student and UP Magazine. Overall, Olivia adored her time in Morocco and learned much in her covering of Morocco’s reformed “Violence Against Women Law” and the culture surrounding it. This summer, she will be interning for the Institute for Public Accuracy at the National Press Building in Washington D.C.
