Trey Strange

IMG_0318Trey Strange hails from Fort Worth, Texas, where he decided to become a journalist after realizing that a career talking to himself in the bathroom mirror might be a little less lucrative. Now a junior at the University of Houston studying world literature and journalism, Trey has focused his writings on metropolitan features and news for the college paper, The Cougar, where he founded the university’s first student-run lifestyle magazine.

In Morocco, Trey aims to reinvigorate his passion for critical news as a writer and editor of Reporting Morocco. Already, he says, this country is strengthening his global mindset and teaching him about patience, empathy, and humanity.

On days off, you might find Trey reading, critiquing French fries, or, most often, frustrating his mother by planning trips to Egypt. He likes to photograph things—cats mostly—which is a coping mechanism he has developed while combatting an insufferable need to listen to NPR at all times.
