A man rides his donkey across the dried up Draa River to the small desert town of M’Hamid El Ghizlane. M’Hamid boasts the last oasis in the Draa- Tafilalet region of Morocco before the Sahara Desert. The Draa River is completely dry and the oasis is deteriorating, however, due to the Mansour Eddahbi damn built in Ouarzazate upstream and the worsening drought conditions in the area.
