Cannon Sullivan is a third-year communications major at Fort Lewis College in Durango Colorado. He is pursuing a minor in political science and is most interested in the political and cultural implications of economic influence in the media. In the fall of 2015 Cannon also worked on the Bernie Sanders campaign as the Fort Lewis liaison to local organization La Plata County for Bernie Sanders.
When Cannon is outside of the classroom he spends most of his time looking for vinyl records to add to his collection, or researching new unknown bands. He is passionate about the Colorado music scene and considers Red Rocks Amphitheater home. His summer days are spent coaching tennis at his local swim and tennis club, and his nights are spent with friends out on the town or at concert venues.
In Morocco Cannon hopes to expand his perspective of the world while pushing himself outside of his comfort zone. This is his first time outside of US borders and he is thrilled to have the opportunity to study in Rabat with SIT. Particularly interested in Moroccan media, he is looking to research and write about the cultural environment cultivated by Moroccan television broadcast and newspaper publication.
